We are a centre that values community involvement and cultural diversity. We endeavour to get tamariki out into the community as much as possible and take regular trips to the local park and library, where we participate in community events such as Matariki. We also teach the importance of taking care of our environment by picking up rubbish in our community.
We have a large backyard providing endless opportunities to explore the natural environment! We are proud of our multi-cultural environment and celebrate the uniqueness of our centre and everyone within it. We are confident that our centre will provide a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment for your tamaiti to grow and learn. Please don't hesitate to contact us to arrange a visit and see what we have to offer.
Our School Readiness Programme is designed to prepare our 4-year-old tamariki for their next big adventure - primary school. The relaxed two-hour daily session from 10 am to 12 pm, focuses on early literacy and numeracy skills, developing social and emotional well-being, independence, listening, following instructions, and self-confidence.
Our inhouse cook provides freshly made meals for our tamariki each day using our Nourish menus and recipes, based on the New Zealand Heart Foundation Tohu Manawa Ora | Healthy Heart Award for Early Learning Centres. We believe that through nourishing food, tamariki are fueled to thrive physically and mentally, whilst enjoying the benefits of coming together and connecting as a group at mealtimes.
In our Ponga Pepi Ruma for tamariki up to 2 ½ years old we understand the importance of nurturing and providing a safe environment for your little ones. Our caring and experienced kaiako create a nurturing environment to support your tamaiti with social, emotional and physical development.
Piwakawaka Tamariki is our preschool Ruma for tamariki aged 2 ½ to 6 years old. Our programme is designed to encourage and support tamariki with curiosity, creativity, and love of learning. Our team of experienced kaiako facilitate play-based learning, where your tamaiti can explore and discover at their own pace.
